Use this guide to understand the measurements of Talecreations backpacks, bags, luggage and related accessories. Sizes vary by product and style. Always check the dimensions and specifications on the individual product page before ordering.
1. Product-specific measurements
There is no single size chart that applies to every item in our store. Mini, standard, duffle and other style names describe product categories; they do not guarantee a particular capacity, fit or set of dimensions. If a product page does not state the measurement you need, contact us before purchasing rather than assuming a size.
2. How to measure a bag
- Height: measure vertically from the base to the top of the main body.
- Width: measure across the main body from side to side.
- Depth: measure the main body from front to back.
- Strap or handle measurements: check the product-specific description, including whether a measurement is a strap length or handle drop.
Read dimension labels carefully. If a listing shows three numbers without identifying their order, ask us to confirm which is height, width and depth. Outer dimensions do not automatically describe the usable internal space or the size of an individual compartment.
3. Inches and centimeters
1 inch = 2.54 centimeters. To convert inches to centimeters, multiply by 2.54. To convert centimeters to inches, divide by 2.54. For example, 10 inches equals 25.4 centimeters; this is a conversion example, not the specification of a particular product.
4. Laptop and device fit
Measure the actual height, width and thickness of your device, including any protective case, and compare them with the compartment dimensions stated for the specific bag. A laptop's advertised screen size is a diagonal screen measurement and does not establish whether the whole device will fit. If compartment measurements are missing, contact us before ordering. Do not assume a device fits based only on the bag's exterior dimensions.
5. Luggage and airline requirements
Check your airline's current personal-item, cabin-baggage and checked-baggage limits for your route and ticket. Airline rules may count handles, wheels, external pockets and other protrusions. A product name containing "carry-on" does not guarantee acceptance by every airline. Packing can change a soft bag's overall dimensions.
6. Other products and sizing questions
For bottles, accessories or wearable items, use the capacity, measurements or size chart supplied on that product's page. This bag-measurement guide is not a clothing size chart. If you need help, send us the product name or link and the measurement or intended fit you want to check.
7. Measurement differences and returns
Measuring method, flexible materials and packing can affect measurements. No universal numerical tolerance is specified for all products. A material difference from the advertised description should be reported so we can investigate. For an item that does not suit your needs, review our Return & Refund Policy. This guide does not reduce rights concerning incorrect, defective or misdescribed goods.
